Terms of use

Using DuoDucks

You may use DuoDucks if you can legally accept these terms. Give accurate account information, keep your password and invite links secure, and use the service only for lawful purposes. You are responsible for activity through your account until you tell the operator it has been compromised or delete it.

Do not try to access another person's account, bypass security or usage limits, disrupt the service, automate abusive traffic, or upload content that is unlawful or violates another person's rights.

Your duo and your content

You keep ownership of the habit names, notes, rewards, and other content you add. You give DuoDucks permission to store and process that content only as needed to run the service.

Joining a duo deliberately shares duo content with the other member. Be thoughtful about what you write: your partner can see shared habits, entries, notes, credits, rewards, and redemption history. DuoDucks does not manage agreements or disputes between duo partners.

Availability and changes

DuoDucks is maintained by one person and is provided without a promise of uninterrupted or error-free availability. Features may change, pause, or be discontinued when that is necessary to maintain, secure, or improve the service. Reasonable notice will be given when a material change affects your account or data, where practical.

Price

DuoDucks is currently available without charge. That is the current beta arrangement, not a promise that it will always be free. If paid access is introduced, the price and any trial, renewal, cancellation, and refund terms will be shown before you choose to pay. You will never be charged without your express agreement.

Ending your account

You can export your data or permanently delete your account in Settings. Deletion ends your active duos and removes your login and identifying profile information. The minimum anonymous shared ledger is retained so a former partner's credit and redemption history is not rewritten. The privacy policy explains this in more detail.

Access may also be suspended or ended for serious or repeated misuse, security threats, or legal requirements. Where reasonable, you will be allowed to export your data first.

Responsibility

DuoDucks is a habit and accountability tool, not medical, legal, financial, or other professional advice. To the extent allowed by law, the operator is not responsible for indirect losses or for promises and arrangements made between duo partners. Nothing here removes consumer rights or other protections that cannot legally be excluded.

Governing law and updates

These terms are governed by Icelandic law, while any mandatory rights you have where you live remain unaffected. Material updates will be reflected on this page with a new date; continued use after an update means the revised terms apply from then on.
